My Anodised Chair is composed of three slabs of 10mm aluminium plate assembled using five countersunk M6 allen bolts. The simplicity of the chair’s composition provides generous surface area to exhibit the subtle complexity of variegated anodising. Available in two versions – square and rough – the latter being plasma-cut freehand which, due to the almost blind operation whereby the past and future path of the cut is invisible, is impossible to cut perfectly straight. The square and rough Anodised Chairs are illustrations of the fact that machines find irregular impossible, and without machines humans find regular impossible, yet both can be beautiful.
